The Pistons Academy in Ludington tipped off Monday night with 34 eager and energetic players. The clinic. for grades K-2, is the first ever Pistons Academy Clinic outside the metro-Detroit area. “It is an amazing start,” said Pistons Director of Fan Development Geo Thomas, “Coach Shelli has done a tremendous job organizing the clinic. It sounds like it went really, realy well.”
On Monday, the kids worked on staying low on defense, dribbling with control, and rebounding with power! They also worked on a couple of passing drills.
Coach Shelli was pleased to see the enthusiasm in the young basketball players, saying “After the clinic, one boy said “Mom, can’t I stay and dribble for five minutes? Everyone left the gym smiling!”
The Clinic resumes next Monday at 5:30 and 6:30pm. There are a few spots available for the 5:30pm clinic. If interested, please contact Coach Shelli at firstname.lastname@example.org
