Day four at the Pistons Academy Rookie Camp was amazing as campers witnessed a HOOPER Show, a Dance-off and tons of basketball!  “These kids are ready for Friday,” said Coach Geo Thomas, “They all seem to know the 10 rules and really want to show the world what they can do!”

“I agree,” said Coach Aaron Smith who is leading the Greenfield Rookie Camp.  I love their energy and I believe they are ready for Fun Friday!”

At Bingham, the Talent Show showcased some amazing talents.  From a spectacular baseball catching exhibition to a rendition of “Shake it off” by Taylor Swiftr, the campers showed us what they could do.  In the end, Charlie Gates was the winner with his (not so) scary story about the Monkey in the Closet!  Here are some additional standouts for the day:

COACH BETHANY:  My outstanding player today was Luca Spadafore, a 2nd grader from Birmingham.  He wa sour top scorer and hardest worker today by far.  He is coachable and has an outstanding work ethic.  Great job Luca!

COACH CHARLIE:  I Chose Derek Kaminski as my player of the day because he is so self-motivated.  He always keeps working hard and is pushing himself to be better.  It is awesome to see him play!

COACH BRYCE:  Liam Drake is my POTD.  He is a great shooter and one of the best scorers in camp.  Yet, despite his talent, he is very unselfish and will always pass the ball to an open teammate.  He always has a great attitude and is constantly smiling and giving great eye contact.

COACH BRYAN:  Grace Kleinfeldt was fantastic today.  I love her smile and her positive attitude.  Even more impressive is that she is becoming a great leader on teh court while helping her team succeed!
