The Pistons Academy offers several all-girl programs designed to teach the game at a fun yet challenging level.  We offer beginner programs all the way up to Elite Travel teams.  Below is a listing for winter 2018. For additional Lady Pistons information, please contact Geo Thomas at


OpenGym1PISTONS ELITE OPEN TRAINING SESSIONS:  (Girls in grades 5-8): 
Whether you are preparing for middle school basketball or just looking to work on your game or  the Pistons Elite Training Sessions will get you that extra court time you are looking for. Held at the Franklin Athletic Club in Southfield, each session will work on various skills, rule comprehension, conditioning and footwork.  RSVP with Coach Geo Thomas at Fee is $15 at the door. Training dates are as follows:  June 3rd and June 10th, 5-6:15pm.  $15 per session



Aug. 11: “Coaches and Careers” Girls Basketball Clinic in Bloomfield Hills
5pm-7:45pm  –  Girls entering grades 4-10
Format: Girls learn basketball skills and receive career guidance from top Detroit businesswomen
Clinic Fee: $50 ($65 after August 5th)

6 weeks of skill development and game play.
First Day: 6-7pm, Friday, April 13, 2018
$120 League fee includes league shirt and season ending awards

League Draft: Next session starts in September.
Game Location: Berkshire Middle School, 21707 W 14 Mile Rd, Beverly Hills, MI 48025
Details: Girls register as individuals and are placed on teams via a draft. Friend requests are taken, but not always guaranteed. games are Friday evenings and Saturdays anyweher between 9am-4pm. Teams play a six game season and then have a post-season tournament. Volunteer coaches are needed and should contact Geo Thomas at 



What they are:  All-girls tournaments that are highly organized, well officiated and tons of fun for all players
