The Pistons Academy has closed the book on the summer of 2019 and is gearing up for their fall basketball leagues. “We are really excited to get the fall season rolling,” said Pistons Academy Director, Geo Thomas, “More than 1800 kids worked hard this summer to improve their skills.  Its now time to see what they can do in game situations.”

The Pistons Academy leagues have been running since 2012 and they are well-known for their organization and attention to detail. “We always try to look at our programs from a youth angle,” adds Thomas, “What can we do to make it fun for our players? When we focus on the kids we can bring enjoyment for the players regardless if they win or lose.”

Here is a testimonial from a league parent last year.

“My son’s team was not very talented and we often struggled against better teams. But our coach, Max W, always stayed positive and never let the team get discouraged. My son walked away a better player by having never quit on himself or the team. I was pleased that the league uses only certified officials who teach the game as well as officiate.  I also appreciate that the games run on time and the league communication was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!”
