The Pistons Academy’s YMCA Spring Clinic Tour is proud to announce an additional tour stop this summer in Plymouth on Saturday June 17th at 6pm. It will be the 10th stop on the tour before concluding in Mt. Clemens the following day.
“After hearing about the size and quality of the Plymouth YMCA’s youth basketball program, its obvious that they need to be a part of this exciting event,” said the Pistons Director of Fan Development, Geo Thomas, “We hope we can add to the great reputation Plymouth currently has!”
This is the first-ever YMCA tour for the Pistons Academy, which has been facilitating youth camps, leagues and clinics since 2012. Each tour stop will provide kids in grades 3-8 a chance to learn and play basketball in a fun and dynamic environment. Kids will have a chance to win fun prizes, meet exciting coaches and get a feel for what the Pistons Academy is all about.
“We are excited to partner with the Detroit Pistons to help promote healthy living and youth development in our community,” says Chelsea VanAshche, Sports and Community Director at the Plymouth Y, “With families in our community having a high interest in basketball, this is the perfect opportunity to provide this unique experience to help develop young players in a fun, exciting environment.”
