Players “Writing their stories” at HVS in Canton

4-ball All Star

The Pistons Academy Camp at High Velocity Sports in Canton continued today with many regular season games and contests.  “It was an awesome day today,” added Coach Geo Thomas, “We talked about writing your stories and fulfilling your dreams.  Some of our campers worked hard enough today to come closer to their dreams!”

One of the most thrilling victories of the day was the All-Star 4-Ball where the White Division All-Stars (pictured above) shocked the JV Coaches with a 151-134 victory.  It was the first time a coach team has lost to the white division all-stars since June of 2015.

In 4-Ball, Florida State (7-0) escaped the day as the only undefeated team in the Steph Curry Division. Although Oregon may be the team to watch as they went a perfect 3-0 and went from 15th to 8th place in one day.  Duke, however, owns the camp’s high score at 123.  In the Red Division, Syracuse also went undefeated and now sits alone atop the 4-Ball Mountain.  Click here for the 4-Ball Standings: HVS 4-Ball Standings

In the Free-Throw contest, four shooters have moved into the #1 seed for Friday’s “Big Board” Bracket.  Nick Carlson is the overall leader with 24 points.  Close behind are: Zach Phelps (22), Daniel Morris (21) and Daria Shelby (21).  Point values continue to increase thru the week so there will be many opportunities to go from worst to first. Here are the current Free Throw Standings through Tuesday: HVS Free Throw Standings

IMPOSSIBLE QUESTION:

Name the last three head coaches for the Detroit Pistons (includes interim coaches).

If you know the answers, write them down on a 3 x 5 piece of paper and drop in the orange bucket at check-in on Wednesday!
