The girls of the Queens of the Court Basketball Clinic said goodbye to the Palace in traditional Pistons form Thursday night: With sweat and smiles.

47 girls came together on the palace floor and participated in some drills, contests and games and then toured the Pistons Locker Room one last time.  “We have six championships on this court,” said Pistons Director of Fan Development, Geo Thomas, “Three from the Shock and three from the Pistons.  There is a tradition of excellence here and the girls showed that tonight by working hard and having fun.”

“This was a tremendous night,” added Coach Aaron Smith who facilitated the evening, “The girls tonight appeared to have had Queens Elitea lot of fun and they were really engaged in the games.”

Jaden Butler and Grace Main were two of the loudest cheerleaders at the Clinic.  “We’re just working hard and having fun,” said Butler, a long time Pistons Academy Player.  Sounds like the 2004 Pistons!

The night ended with some giveaways and more pictures on the court.  It was a great send-off to the storied Palace court and hopefully a night that the girls will remember for years to come.
