The Rookie Camps at Greenfield and Bingham Farms ended Friday with the same classy fashion as was present the entire week.  “The kids at both camps were outstanding,” said the Pistons Director of Fan Development, Geo Thomas, “The kids showed class when they won and great sportsmanship when they lost.  No tears were shed and there was plenty of applause throughout the day.”

“I agree,” said Greenfield Camp Director Aaron Smith, “Our kids had a ton of energy and were always cool in defeat and gracious in victory.  Great sportsmanship all around!”

Jake WinsIn a shocking upset, the Bingham Rookie Skills Contest had a surprise winner Friday as Coach Jake’s team (Celtics) came from 63JB 2016 points behind to take the championship.  “I was surprised myself,” said Coach Jake, “But our team was focused today and really worked hard for this!” Jake’s team unseated last year’s champ, Coach Joey (pictured at right), who had been leading after Thursday’s competition. “I think we choked a little,” said Coach Joe, “I take the blame because we had some great kids shooting for me.  We just need to tip our hat to Jake’s team and we’ll try again next summer!
