WIZARDS 17, SPURS 10: The Wizards started their season in impressive fashion with a 7-point victory over the Spurs. The trio of Aiden Singletary, Ryan Everett (6 points each) and Jordan Greer combined to score all of the Wizards 17 points. Their teammates were able to provide them with quality opportunities and they took full advantage. The Spurs, who fall to 1-0 on the young season, were led by Hailey Webley and Gabriel Acuna, as each player scored 4 points.
CAVS 14, HEAT 8: In the opening game for both teams, it was the Cavs who were able to knock down the open shots and earn a nice victory to kick off the fall season. Darius Ford and Oliver Goldberg each netted 4 points to go along with 2 points each from Austin Taylor, Micah Morton and Winston Lu. The Heat, who struggled on defense early in the game, were able to make some adjustments and played much better in the 2nd half. James Johnson scored 4 points, Fontaine Sheffey and Miguel Foster Jr. each scored 2 points and Zack Keller added 5 big rebounds for the Heat, who will look to bounce back in their next game.
SUNS 18, LAKERS 14: Behind 8 points from starting point guard Isaac Miller, the Suns battled their way to a thrilling 18-14 win to close out Opening Night. Jack Garmo also scored 4 points for the Suns (1-0), and Wyatt Pederson, Luke Abro and Obi Amaefule each chipped in 2 points. For the Lakers, who battled back to make this a very close, entertaining game, Maurice Pointer Jr. scored a game-high 10 points to go along with 2 points from Hunter Helfman and Bralin Jones. For their impressive performance, Isaac Miller, Wyatt Pedersen and Matthew Mitchell II were selected as the Players of the Game.
