The Ultimate Hoops Week in Bloomfield concluded day four today with the Flight Crew’s final performance of the 2016-17 season. “This may have been one of their best shows of the year,” said Coach Aaron Smith who emceed their performance, “It was loud, engaging and it showcased some of their best dunks. Our campers responded with the energy we have come to expect.  It was a great show.” The flight crew will now take some time off and regroup for the upcoming Pistons Season at the new Little Caesar’s Arena.

On the court, the competition heated up as well, especially in four ball where the only remaining undefeated teams tasted their first loss of the week.  In the Klay Thompson Division, Xavier (7-1) took over first place by stopping Rutgers (5-1-2) 79-66.  In the Steph Curry Division, Baylor (8-1) continued their strong shooting and upset Georgetown (8-1) by a score of 112-107.  The two are now tied for first and will be seeded 1-2 in Friday’s 4-Ball contest.  Check out all the standings here: 4-Ball Scoresheet

In the free-throw contest, the Red Division finished their regular season play today.  Drew Zusel continued to have the hot hand and earned a #1 seed with a score of 45. Chase Rosenzweig, a 4th grader from Bloomfield Hills, is second with 40pts.  Rounding out the other top seeds in the regional brackets are Jamal Hider from Canton, MI and Nathan Hendrickson representing Birmingham, MI.  Here are the final scores for the Red Division: Red FT Scoresheet.
