Tuesday at Rookie Camp was a strong and developing day as players continued to work on their games and learn the 10 secrets of basketball.
Many players stood out for their efforts such as PJ Kommer, Jeremiah Mack and Devin Young. “Watching these players go to work is very inspirational,” says Coach Bryan Bollin, “They really are diving all-in this week.”
Two other players also caught the coaches eye today.
MAX S: “Max is a really good listener,” says Coach Beth Mac, “He is very attentive and asks great questions. He is doing a fantastic job this week.” Max knows his basketball and has been giving great advice to his teammates. On top of that, he is one of the camp’s best follower of rule #1.
JADEN J: Jaden is a 2nd grader from Country Day and has been very impressive this week. “:Jaden was traded today but instantly took a leadership role to help his new squad,” Said coach Ian Berlin, “He was outstanding today.” Jaden is known for his good defense on the floor and is also a very good shooter.
In the Skills Competition, coach Bryce has a slim 4-point lead over Coach Ian’s team, 44-40. But its a close race as Coach Bryan’s team won the 2x-point value round and is in 3rd place with 39 points. In Normal scoring, 1st place get 15pts, 2nd place receives 10, 3rd place gets 7pts while 4th gets five points and 5th gets 2 points. The skills competition will continue on Wednesday!
