Players of the day (pictured) are Liam and Lucy. Both showed great effort and energy all day today!
Tuesday’s camp focused on the strengths and the weaknesses of players as coaches began to emphasize skill development. “We really focused on the ability to use both hands while dribbling and to change directions quickly,” said Red Division Coach Bethany Mac, “I think the campers learned a few things. Hopefully we’ll see the improvement in the games!”
Over 30% of today’s camp was focused on ball handling and their improvement showed during the afternoon competition at 2:40pm. “Very few players lost control of their dribble,” said Coach Joey Berlin of the White Division, “They showed great aptitude and truly advanced the learning curve!”
Today was also the second day of the shooting contests. In 4-Ball, no teams are undefeated but five teams are tied for first place with 5-1 records. Arizona also set a camp high score with 90 points. here are the 4-Ball and 5-on-5 Standings through Tuesday afternoon: RO 4-Ball / 5-on-5 Standings
In the Free-Throw contest, many players had great shooting days and after tow rounds we have our top four shooters: Joe Brody (25pts) is in first place with Lance Kukes close behind with 23. Beckett Sipes has 22 while Ries Tuttle rounds out the top four with 20. Here are all the FT scores through Tuesday: RO Free Throw Scores
