Hard working Wednesday was everything you think it was and the campers at Royal Oak Middle School proved that they were equal to the tasks at hand.  “Our Blitz isn’t easy,” Says Camp Commissioner Dan Thomas, “I worked these kids out hard and they didn’t quit.”

The Blitz is a 12-minute conditioning program that emulates a pre-season Pistons workout. It includes many stationary conditioning drills such as push-ups, planks and the infamous “6-inches.”  “I think the temerature in the gym went up 15 degrees in the final 15 minutes of camp,” said Camp Director Geo Thomas, “Coach Dan did not hold back and the kids didn’t quit.”

Those who were awarded the hardest workers were: Davis Van Every, Ethan Watkins, Lexi Lang, Liam Dalton, Taylor Vance, and Jess Dillon.

In the 4-Ball Tournament,Baylor maintained their hold on first place in the Steph Curry Division with a solid 8-1-1 record.  They will be the #1 seed in Thursday’s playoffs.  Arizona and Georgetown tied for 2nd place with a record of 7-2.  Playoffs for 4-Ball will start on Thursday with the Championship game being played on Friday.  4-ball Scoresheet

The Free-Throw competition has completed regulation play and it should be an amazing tournament!  Sam Zeller (81pts) took the overall #1 seed by just two points over Ryan Meinke (79).  Others earning #1 seeds were Jaden Ryke (66) and Will Qualman (61).  The Tournament will start tomorrow with the Finals taking place at 1:05pm on Friday.  FT Scoresheet

Today’s camp topic of the day was being a good teammate. Coaches preached the importance of positive attitude, teamwork and leadership.  The White Division responded well to these traits and the coaches voted Koby Rauner this week’s best teammate. Well done Koby!
